OUR LEGAL SERVICES
DIVORCE AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIP DISSOLUTIONS
We help you to make the legal arrangements regarding the dissolution of your marriage or civil partnership. We guide and advise you in your negotiations to reach a financial settlement for the future needs of all family members.
CHILDREN ARRANGEMENTS
We can help and advise you to reach agreements on issues such as:
Child Arrangements – making arrangements for the children of the family following separation of the parents.
Relocation with abroad or within the UK – when one parent wishes to move away with the children either overseas or in this country.
International Child Abduction – parental abduction to or from another country.
PRE AND POST NUPTIAL AGREEMENTS
These are agreements made prior to the marriage or during the course of the marriage to regulate what is to happen in the event of your marriage breaking down. They are particularly useful where there are children from a previous marriage or relationship and there are assets you wish to preserve for them, or to deal specifically with inheritance or family gifts received prior to or during the marriage.
INTERNATIONAL FAMILY MATTERS
We can advise you in deciding which location is more favourable to you in determining where to issue divorce proceedings. We can work with your lawyers and tax advisors in other relevant jurisdictions to ensure that any settlement is compliant with all necessary tax rules and is enforceable in that jurisdiction. We can advise on the relocation of children abroad and what consent is required before this can happen. We can deal with the emergency situation of trying to prevent the abduction of a child by a parent or in the event this has already occurred. We have links with many lawyers all around the world with whom we have good working relationships and many of our clients have an international element to their family and finances.
COHABITATION
We can help you to consider and prepare any agreements dealing with financial arrangements between you both at the outset of any period of cohabitation. This is particularly important when buying a home together. If your relationship breaks down we can advise upon the division of assets and any issues concerning children of the family. We are happy to discuss with you any legal issues that arise from cohabitation and what rights, duties and responsibilities are involved.
SEPARATION AGREEMENTS
We can advise you on the terms of any agreements you may wish to put into place following separation, but prior to a divorce, to regulate financial arrangements between you.
